Consumer Protection Notice
The Texas Real Estate Commission regulates real estate license holders, and this notice explains how to reach it.
Who regulates us
The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) regulates real estate brokers, sales agents, and inspectors in Texas. Fort Worth Second Chance Team operates under Spirit Real Estate Group, TREC #562021, with licensed Texas agent.
Filing a complaint
If you believe a license holder has violated the Texas Real Estate License Act or TREC rules, you may file a complaint with the Commission. Complaints may be filed online through the TREC website or by mail. TREC investigates complaints against license holders and can take disciplinary action.

Real Estate Recovery Trust Account
TREC administers two recovery funds which may be used to satisfy a civil court judgment against a broker, sales agent, real estate inspector, or easement or right-of-way agent, if certain requirements are met. If you've terminated or paid a judgment against a license holder, information about the recovery funds is available from the Commission.
Talk to us first
Most problems are faster to fix directly. If something about your search, an application, a fee, or a communication was not handled the way it should have been, tell us and we'll address it. That doesn't affect your right to file a complaint with TREC.
